Ritual is built around a single act of practice. Its privacy posture follows the same principle: collect as little as possible, surface what we do collect, and never sell your data.

What we collect

Today, Ritual does not require an account. Practice happens locally in your browser.

• Practice data (streak, duration, intention, last session) is held in your browser only. It does not leave your device.
• Local Field samples are computed in your browser from crypto.getRandomValues(). Raw samples are never transmitted.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider may record standard request metadata (IP, user agent, timestamp) for security and reliability. We do not use this data for tracking.

What we do not collect

• No analytics on your individual practice.
• No third-party advertising trackers.
• No microphone, camera, or sensor access.
• No biometric or health inferences. The Local Field is not a measurement of you.

Cookies

Ritual does not set tracking cookies. Functional storage in your browser (e.g., localStorage) may be used to remember preferences for your next session.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information. If law enforcement makes a lawful request, we will respond as required by law and notify affected users where permitted.

Children

Ritual is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
